Life changing illness can happen to any of us. And if it’s incurable, it can be terrifying. While some believe there’s little left once it’s been diagnosed, at Sue Ryder we don’t.
We provide specialist medical treatment and care for patients and residents with a range of illnesses – everything from cancer and brain injury, to multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. When patients come to us they are often at their lowest, struggling to cope with the symptoms of their condition. In addition to medical treatment our nurses take time to get to know each patient as a person – nurturing them as individuals to help ensure they can make the most of the time they have left. Incurable optimists, incurable dreamers, even incurable water lovers – we’ve helped them all.
But offering every person with incurable illness the incredible care they deserve costs over £30 million a year and it’s a service we can only continue to offer with the support and generosity of people like you.
